Papa's Kesselhaus in Bad Toelz

A perfect New Year's Eve menu for at home: 4 courses, great in taste and aesthetically arranged despite being “to go”. Our new favorite in Karlsruhe after questions of style no longer play a role on the Turmberg.

We have had good experiences with the service. Portions almost a bit too small .. Nothing to complain about in terms of taste. Therefore good 4 stars!

Excellent food with great attention to detail. Had a great evening with very committed and capable staff. The bread platter comes with many different little delicacies. And in addition to the actual dishes that were ordered, there was a delicious greeting from the kitchen as well as various pralines at the end. Very successful evening, I hope you get through the pandemic well!

The four of us ate at the Kesselhaus last night and it was just fantastic! The restaurant is a bit more elegant than others here in Karlsruhe, but all the staff were very courteous and nice. A really, really big compliment from each of us for the great service! We were regularly asked about our wishes, the orders came quickly, the waiters were funny and friendly and by no means derogatory. In fact, I have never had such good service in any other restaurant as here. Of course, the food was also very tasty and - contrary to other reviews here - we were all full. The portions are not overly large in the Kesselhaus, but we took it slowly and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere instead of shoveling everything into us right away. The cheese and wine advice was also great (my tip: the cheese with caraway and salt crust) and the two gentlemen described everything to us in great detail. The prices are a little higher than in normal restaurants, but the food is also really good and the Kesselhaus is a good choice if you want to have a nice evening meal for a change. At the moment a reservation is necessary in the evening and the deadline for main course orders during the week is around 8:30 p.m. The building itself is a bit hidden in an inner courtyard in the industrial district in Grünwinkel (when coming from the Südtangente do not drive over the bridge, but cut in directly to the right of the bridge), but there are enough parking spaces available. Or you can take bus 55 to Benzstrasse.

Chic with sophisticated food. The disinfectant spray wasn't working. But we had a nice business meal. I ate tandoori chicken. Had a Johannisbeere lemonade.

A very nice atmosphere, very nice and courteous service. Here you can eat with your eyes - even with the greeting from the kitchen. The dishes are all freshly prepared. It is a pleasure to dine here. A very nice experience !!

We were surprised with two different amuse gueule. Sort very exquisite. Staff very friendly and helps me with additional information about the dishes if necessary. Good wines. Very stylish ambience. Toilets 1a. Corona rules are observed. It's worth it.

We had heard many positive things about the boiler house. However, we were a little unlucky. The service hasn't had its best day. The food was good.

Food, service and ambience are fabulous. The food tastes delicious and you can also see it, the service is professional and just as close to the guest and as funny as it should be. It was a pleasure.

In a nutshell: the dishes were consistently very good and therefore worth their price. The service started and ended strongly, but in the meantime there was a "hole" in which we were alone for half an hour. Hence four stars.

The restaurant is located in the industrial area, but it is very quiet and pleasant in the evenings. The food is very tasty and therefore worth the price. I had the menu which was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff there is very friendly and helps you with any questions. You can e.g. have a wine recommended that you like very much but also go perfectly with your meal. The whole atmosphere is rounded off with a nice selection of songs as background music.

New dishes added every month, we were totally happy with the selection here. Good central location and always tasty menu options, my preferred spot to seize a bite. I came here for supper with my bro, we were really pleased with the modern food and the prices. The personnel are genuinely wonderful, my sis and I were happy with their advice. We would advise the table by the window for the best views.

Good place to try German food in Karlsruhe!

A beautifully quiet restaurant with high standard. The service is absolutely appropriate discreet and attentive. The food is phenomenal and tastes fantastic. The wines that were recommended for the meal were perfect. Everything is clean and tidy. In the toilets there are no paper towels or roll but slightly perfumed small towels that can be used again. If you want something upscale, then I can only recommend it.

The boiler house would be such a location again, which would earn 4.5 stars. The food was always delicious in my visits, the service was often excellent, deductions I give only for the high prices. Main courses around the 23 € are not totally unusual, but I think they are at the top. But this is certainly complaining at a high level. It would have been 5 * in it, but sometimes you have to be consistent and only distribute 4. But as mentioned 4.5 would be my choice! Definitely recommended!

Loved everything about it! Loved that it is in an old steam room of an old textile factory. Loved the service. And the food for this season was just perfect! My husband enjoyed his birthday dinner thoroughly. Thank you for an exceptional evening!

Been here three times, twice for dinner and once for Sunday brunch. Food is just amazing! Always order the bruschetta trio as starter, it'll blow your mind! Sunday brunch is okay, not into the weird serve time (11am for starters, 12pm for mains, and 1pm for desserts). But the price and taste are definitely unbeatable! My favourite dining spot in Karlsruhe for sure 💯

I celebrated my church wedding here. The boiler house helped us a lot with the preparations. The process in advance was very professional. The request for more vegetarian food could be implemented without any problems. The guests were enthusiastic about the location and the food. Even as a normal restaurant, I've already dined very well here.

Although it's in the middle of nowhere, the decor and ambiance is great. The food was excellent, very fresh and a nice selection even though the menu was small and a bit pricey. The service was very friendly as well.

Awful service! Confusion over which restaurant our table was reserved in (we wanted a table in the gourmet room rather than the bistro) resulted in us leaving without even trying the food. Staff and manager couldn't care less with the fact that they messed up.
